Cold Snap

Zoowiemomma it got cold in a hurry here. We dropped down to the low 40s last night. And we were most unprepared for the temps to drop that quickly.

During the day, we were enjoying the cool, crisp autumn breeze. One of our cats managed to get out of the house. He was having so much fun in the grass, so the oldest boy babysat the cat for an hour outside.

That seemed like a great idea. But now the cat wants outside all the time. He’s really annoying. And really, really loud, too. We of course had to allow the other cat a chance to get some fresh air outside. Monster was perfectly content to just cruise along the deck railing and never ventured down. He also hasn’t begged to go back outside.

So the project of the weekend was to boost up the bedding in the dog house. The roof on the dog house is really heavy because we put shingles on it. So to open up the roof, the hubs had this great idea to use some 2x4s we had laying around to help prop it open while the guys added straw and a fresh new bed to the house.

Levi approves.

After the work was done, there was time to play around.

Levi couldn’t resist the opportunity to take a cheap shot at the ear. The dog has a thing for ears. However, don’t dare touch his ears.

Finally, the big brother stepped up to be a fun big brother and took the little brother for a wagon ride.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope to be back later this week with a recipe or two to share.
